When to consult
When should you seek geriatric management of your conditions?
Control targets that work at 50 can cause harm at 85. In geriatrics the goal is individualized: protect without overtreating.
When to consult
- You live with diabetes, hypertension, COPD or heart failure.
- Episodes of low blood sugar or blood pressure that drops on standing.
- Your numbers "look fine" on paper, but you feel worse than before.
- Several conditions at once and treatments that contradict each other.
Before your visit
- Bring your most recent lab and imaging results.
- Log your blood pressure or glucose readings from the past week, if you measure them.
- Full medication list, including what other doctors prescribed.
Important points
- Hypoglycemia in an older adult can cause falls, confusion and hospitalization.
- Blood pressure that is too low is as risky as high pressure at this age.
- Do not adjust insulin or blood pressure doses without supervision.

Frequently asked questions
About this service
Question not here? Send me a WhatsApp message and I will answer personally.
Ask on WhatsAppWhy is my glucose target different from my son's?
Because at an older age hypoglycemia is more dangerous than a slightly high glucose. We look for the range that protects without exposing you.
Does this visit replace my cardiologist?
Not necessarily: geriatrics integrates and coordinates. When a subspecialist is needed, we work together.
