When to consult
When should you ask for a comprehensive assessment?
It is the ideal starting point from age 60, and especially useful when several things are happening at once and no doctor is looking at the whole picture.
When to consult
- You live with several conditions and see different doctors.
- You take five or more medications a day.
- You have noticed changes in memory, mood, weight or the way you walk.
- You want to prevent problems early, even if you feel well today.
Before your visit
- Gather recent test results, prescriptions and hospital discharge summaries.
- Bring every medication: a list or the boxes, supplements and herbal products included.
- If possible, come with a relative who knows you well.
Important points
- The first assessment takes longer than a conventional visit.
- Do not stop any medication on your own before the appointment.
- If you use glasses or a hearing aid, bring them: they are part of the evaluation.
